Kann Denn Liebe Sünde Sein? (Chapter Five & Six)

Hey again! Here's the next two chapters of Kann Denn Liebe Sünde Sein? (YAY! Two posts in one day!) I'm super ecstatic that people actually like this story, 'cause I damn sure enjoy writing it! But I digress... Enjoy the story!

[Chapter Five: Heat]

The next day passed much like the others had, without incident. The two boys were on their way to their final class and Christoph was currently teasing Richard about see Father Lindemann after last night’s event.  “So are you nervous about seeing him again?” Christoph asked grinning. “No.” Richard said flatly, trying not to show that he actually was nervous. “Uh-huh. Sure, I can tell by the way your clutching your book to your chest like a school girl about to ask her crush out for a date.” Christoph snickered. Richard took the book he was holding and smacked his friend lightly with it. “Shut up.”
Once in their seats they waited for class to start. Strolling into the room and not waiting for the students to cease their chatter, Father Lindemann spoke “Alright class, we don’t have much time to waste today. As you know you have a test today and then Mass in about forty minutes. So let’s get to business.”
As he said the last part, Father Lindemann let his gaze linger a bit on Richard, sending a brief but smoldering look. Richard felt Christoph kick him softly and turned to look at him and saw a knowing look upon his friend’s face so he stuck out his tongue in response. Turning back to face the front as the tests were passed out, he stiffened as Father Lindemann stood before him and placed his test on his desk before moving on. He was so close he could smell the uniquely delicious heady scent that the teacher wore. He smelled of dragon’s blood candles, cinnamon, and a hint of black liquorice all combined together to make an intoxicating smell that made Richard’s blood boil. Snapping out of his haze, Richard began to fill out the test in front of him. Forty minutes later they were ushered from the classroom into the main part of the church. “I saw the way he was looking at you; he’s definitely interested in you.” Christoph whispered as they saw down on the very last pew. “I think you were just seeing things Christoph.” Richard whispered back. Christoph responded by giving Richard a look that said ‘Yeah and pigs fly.’
The service began and Richard saw a familiar figure at the altar, it was Father Hirsch and that meant Paul was somewhere nearby. Nudging Christoph, Richard whispered “Look Father Hirsch is here, that means that guy I told you about is here. We need to find him after this.” Christoph nodded, remembering Richard said he made friends with the priest’s driver and that he would sneak them out for some fun.
Now it was time for the Eucharist to be distributed so they stood in line to wait to receive their sacrament. As the line grew shorter, Richard noted with shock that Father Lindemann was the one distributing the wine and bread. ‘This is going to be interesting.’ Richard thought. Christoph must have been on the same wavelength as him, because he felt Christoph poke him in the ribs and could hear him giggling quietly.
Now they were three people away from Father Lindemann, Richard caught the priest’s eye and that same fiery look appeared. Now stepping up the few small stairs, Richard stood before Father Lindemann who wore a faint smirk upon his enticing lips. Richard kneeled down before him as custom to recieve his sacrament. He then placed the thin wafer-like bread into Richard’s mouth, purposely dragging his thumb across Richard’s lower lip. Then he held the golden chalice up to the boy’s mouth to drink, desire clouding his blue-green eyes causing them to appear darker than normal. Giving a scalding look all his own, Richard stood and stepped back and sauntered down the stairs feeling Father Lindemann’s gaze searing holes into his back.
The service ended and Richard walked back up to the dais with Christoph not too far behind. Walking over to where Father Hirsch was speaking to Father Lindemann, Richard waited until it was appropriate to interrupt. “Excuse me Father Hirsch?” Richard said. “Yes? Oh, Richard! How are things faring for you at school so far?” Father Hirsch said pleasantly. “School’s going great, I’m a lot happier here.” Richard said, putting on his ‘good boy’ act and also noticing how Father Lindemann never took his eyes off him.
“That’s wonderful, I’m glad you’ve found comfort in this great institution. What can I help you with?” The elder priest said kindly. “Well, when your driver brought me here he forgot to give me one of my bags. Do you know where I can find him?” Richard asked looking all the part of an innocent school boy.
Father Hirsch gave Richard directions to the guest house and Richard thanked the man and bid both priests good day and departed, still feeling the weight of Father Lindemann’s gaze on his lithe form. When they were outside Christoph could no longer contain himself. “Oh my god! Did you see how Father Lindemann was looking at you! It was like he was undressing you with his eyes, and then during Communion he looked like he wanted to put more than that measly little cracker in your mouth.”
Richard had to laugh at that. “Yeah and I wanted him to.” He said lewdly. Pushing Richard in jest, Christoph said “Your bad and now your vulgarities are starting to rub off on me. Didn’t you say that Paul is hot?” Richard nodded. “Yeah, he has a really nice ass too. Not as nice as you-know-who, but damn close!” Christoph looked thoughtful for a second before bursting in laughter. “Perhaps I should start my own tryst with an older man, ‘cause you seem to be having all the fun. Plus I want someone to look at me the way he does to you, it’s like he’s trying to burn your clothes off with his eyes. It’s a wonder that no one noticed.”
After walking a good distance the guest house came in to sight. “Damn, I didn’t realize how big this place was.” Richard remarked. “I know, I think the school sits on about a hundred acres or something like that. Usually students don’t venture this far out.” Nodding his head, Richard retained that bit of information for later use. Walking up to the door Richard knocked, but there was no response. Turning the door knob and finding it was unlocked, the two boys stepped into the house. Walking through the kitchen and into the living room where they heard light snoring, they found Paul dozing on the couch seconds away from dropping his lit cigarette onto his chest.
Swiftly walking over to the sleeping man, Richard snatched the cigarette out of Paul’s hand right as he was about to burn himself. Feeling something being pulled out of his hand, Paul woke with a start. “What the-“  He said sleepily. “Hey Paul, it’s me Richard remember?” Richard said taking a drag of Paul’s half smoked cigarette. Rubbing his eyes, Paul sat up and looked at Richard. “Yeah, of course I remember you kid.” Gesturing over to Christoph who was trying to stifle his laughter, Paul asked “Who’s he?”
“That’s my friend Christoph. Don’t worry he’s cool.” Richard explained. “Christoph this is Paul.”  He said, introducing the man. “Hey.” Christoph said somewhat shyly. Paul nodded his head in his direction “What’s up.”  Each boy sitting on a piece of furniture, Richard asked “So are you gonna take us out on the town?” Yawning, Paul shrugged and replied “I dunno. It’s still quite early and neither of you should really be here.”
“Oh come on Paul! Please? I’m begging you plus you promised me.” Richard pouted. Unable to resist Richard’s charms, Paul caved in. “Alright, alright. I’ll take you. Meet me at the part of the woods that are to the left of the main building at eleven o’clock sharp. If you’re not there I’m leaving without you, ok?”
Both Richard and Christoph nodded their head fervently agreeing to meet at the designated spot. Suddenly they heard a door open on the opposite side of the house and someone walk in. Bolting upright Paul shoved the two boys out the back door and plopped back down on the couch trying to look innocuous.
The heavy footsteps drew near and finally entered the room where Paul sat. “Were you just now talking to someone Paul?” Father Lindemann asked as he pulled the white fabric from his shirt collar and sat across from the other man.  Paul shook his head. “No, Till. Well technically I was. I just got off the phone.” Raising a brow at Paul’s conflicting answer knowing something was amiss, Till decided to dismiss it and pour himself a glass of brandy instead.

[Chapter Six: Uninhibited]

The boys laughed and joked as they finally entered their room from dinner, both excited for tonight’s outing. “Richard you need to tell me your secret for attracting all these good looking males!” Christoph exclaimed as he searched through his regular clothing trying to find something to wear. Richard merely shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t do anything in particular, they just seem to flock to me.” Chuckling a bit Christoph replied “Well aren’t you lucky, I wish I were blessed with your prowess. Damn, I can’t find anything to wear.”
“I have something you can borrow.” Richard said digging through is bag. “Here take this, do you have any black jeans to go with it?” Christoph took the black shirt with shiny silver skull on the front and took his school shirt off. “I have some black jeans in my bag.” He said. Richard pulled out a black shirt with stripy sleeves and some low rise black jeans. Entering the bathroom, Richard went through his normal ritual of primping before going out. Once he was finished he stepped out to see Christoph changed and sitting on his bed. “You look good.” Richard complimented thinking to himself about how this new look suited the boy. “Thanks.” Came the reply. Getting an idea, Richard walked back into the bathroom to grab something and walked up to Christoph.
“What?” Christoph asked seeing the glint in Richard’s eyes. Holding up his eyeliner, Richard asked if he could line the boy’s eyes, once he received consent he proceeded with the task. When he felt the make-up was applied perfectly he told him to go look in the mirror. “Wow.” Christoph said as he exited the bathroom. “This makes my eyes really stand out. I’m totally gonna have to get some of my own.”
Realizing it was almost time for their rendezvous, they made to leave; first peeking into the hallway to see if anyone was still up. Luckily for them most of the schools inhabitants were early to bed early to rise, even though the next day was Saturday. Under the cover of darkness the two boys snuck to their predetermined meeting place. Hearing some snapping of branches and then someone curse, Richard called out “Paul, over here!” The footsteps came closer and out of the brush, Paul appeared. “Ready to go?” Stepping over to Paul, both boy gave a simultaneous “Hell yeah.”
Creeping through the woods a bit they came to a locked iron fence; producing the key to the padlock, Paul unlocked it and pulled the chain from the fence. Stepping through, Paul made sure to lock the gate behind them. Motioning for the boys to hurry, they swiftly walked to the front of main building where the car sat. Once the doors were unlocked, Richard got into the passenger seat, while Christoph jumped into the spacious backseat. Paul turned the ignition to the car and drove down the long road up to the main gate. Pressing the buzzer to open the gate, he turned on to the main road.
Once they made it away from the school without incident, they all let out a cheer for not getting caught. Turning to Paul, Richard asked “So how long are you gonna be staying here?” “Until tomorrow evening, usually I stay for two weeks like I told you but Father Hirsch has some other business to attend to elsewhere.” Paul explained and Richard nodded. “Hey Richard, can you reach into my pocket and pull out my pack of cigarettes?”
“Yeah sure.” Richard then reached into his pocket and pulled out what was requested, feeling that the box was light he said “There’s nothing in here.” Smirking, Paul said “Yeah there is, just open the box.” Opening the box as told, Richard saw what looked to be a hand rolled cigarette. “It’s this what I think it is?” He asked.  “Yeah it is, now take it out and light it.” Paul said laughing. “Hell yeah, it’s been a long time since I smoked this stuff.” Richard said as he lit the joint and it’s pungent scent filled the air. Taking a couple of hits and then passing it to Paul, Richard asked “So how far away are we going?”
“About thirty minutes away.” Paul said between puffs. “Hey Christoph, do you want any of this?” “Of course.” Came the reply. Christoph then took the joint and took a few drags from it and started coughing. “Damn, that shit is strong.” He said after his coughing fit. Paul laughed and said “I know, I only get the best.”
As the car flew down the road, the males talked about a whole slew of things until they arrived at their destination. Parking the car on the side of the street, they got out of the car and walked into the quaint little pub. Ignoring some of the odd looks from some of the patrons, they picked a table and waited to be served.
Once the waitress came Paul ordered for all of them, starting them off with a several shots of liquor. Downing the russet colored drink, Richard reveled in the after burn it left in his throat. “Thanks Paul for bringing us out, it’s the freest I’ve felt in a while and I’m sure it’s the freest Christoph has ever felt.” Richard said as he laughed at the face Christoph made a he tried another shot of a different liquor.
“No need to thank me, kid. After what you’ve told me you deserve it and more.” Paul replied humbly. He then ordered two glasses of frosty beer for the boys and watched them chug the drinks down. Looking at his watch Paul realized that they needed to head back soon so he could get some semblance of sleep before his long trip back. Standing from the table he asked “Are you guys ready to go?” Both boys nodded, Richard too deep in thought to verbalize and Christoph too drunk to form a sentence.
When Christoph stood up Paul had to catch him since he couldn’t seem to stand on his own. “Thanks.” The boy slurred causing Paul to shake his head and laugh as they left, Paul assisting Christoph to the car. “Let me guess, this is his first time drinking?” Paul asked. Nodding his head and starting to laugh too, Richard replied “Yes, I vaguely remember him saying that earlier.”
Once in the car Richard pulled out a cigarette package from his pocket, opening it he realized he was on his last cigarette. Sighing his stuck the cigarette in his mouth and lit it. “Where’d you get that lighter?” Paul asked sternly startling Richard from his thoughts. Piping up from the back seat Christoph slurred out “He got it from the teacher who has the hots for him. Father Lindemann.” Richard wanted to smack Christoph, but it would do no good since he had passed out in the back seat. Looking over at Paul Richard saw that he looked livid, unsure of what to say he just remained silent.
“How.” Was all Paul said, confused Richard repeated “How what?” Shaking his head Paul spoke “How did you attain that lighter?” Now understanding the question, Richard answered giving the censored version of the story. Despite not telling Paul the complete story, he still seemed to be quite intuitive (and what Christoph said didn’t help either). “Look Richard, I’m not going to tell you what to do. You obviously have a good head on your shoulders and you remind me a lot of myself when I was your age. All I have to say is be careful and not for the reasons you’ve probably already considered” He paused and sighed “He’s like fire, warm and inviting. But like fire he is also wild and untamed. Don’t be fooled by his façade or you’ll get burned too.” With that Paul fell silent and it remained that way for the rest of the car ride.
Pulling the car in front of the building, the two males got out of the car; Richard having to assist Christoph in getting out and walking. Going through the gate, Paul whispered to Richard “Come with me to the guest house really quick so I can give you something for the massive hangover he’s gonna have in the morning.” Nodding Richard continued behind Paul, with Christoph still clutching on to him for support. Once at the guesthouse, Paul motioned for them to wait outside while he retrieved the medicine from his bag. Placing two pills in Richard’s hand he said “Make sure he takes those as soon as he wakes or he’s gonna feel like shit for the rest of the day. I’m leaving in the morning so I won’t be able to say good bye, but I will be back the second week of next month. Take care of yourself and remember what I said about him.” Nodding and saying his good-byes Richard waited for Paul to enter the house before he dragged Christoph back to their room.
Sitting down on the couch Paul poured some brandy in a glass as he shook his head thinking about his young friend. “Did you have fun?” Till asked stepping into the room. Paul almost choked on his drink at the scare Till gave him. “Do you always have to sneak up on people?” Coming to stand before Paul, Till said smirking darkly “Yes, I find it to be a good way to catch people doing things they shouldn’t be.”

Change of Skin: Chapter Five

Hey everyone! Sorry for the slight delay in posting, my working hours got switched so I spent the last few days trying to adjust. Anyways. Here is the next chapter of Change of Skin, I'm not sure if I liked the way it turned out, but it shall suffice. I'm glad people seem genuinely interested in this story because in the next few chapters Christoph is really gonna be taken for a ride...a long hard, bloody, smutty ride. So please bear with me for the next chapter because after chapter six, it's gonna start getting even more interesting.

Enjoy!

[Chapter 5: Enlightened]

Christoph woke up late in the afternoon, his brain a bit muddled at the day’s previous events and his body felt somewhat drained. Sitting up and pulling back the covers, at first a bit surprised to find himself nude but the memory of what had transpired came back to him and he blushed at the thought of it. Looking around and straining his hearing to locate Till, he stood and left the bedroom. Walking into the room they’d watched the movie in he picked up his pants from the floor and put them on.
Seeing that Till wasn’t in his office, Christoph went to leave the room pausing ; unsure of if he was even allowed to leave the room. He didn’t want to go traipsing through someone’s home without their permission. Deciding that he had no choice, he turned the doorknob and left the room. Walking down the large hallway to where he remembered the grand staircase was, he could vaguely hear people talking downstairs. One of the voices sounding like Till’s distinctly rich voice.
As he got closer to the stairs he could hear some of their conversation and slowed down to listen. “What do you mean you don’t think you can make it?” A smooth sounding voice said. “I’ve told you why. I have prior engagements.” Till’s rich baritone said in finality. “But tonight is one of the most important nights for us, you know that. What engagement do you have that’s so important that you can’t reschedule it?” The smooth sounding voice asked, his voice rose a bit in exasperation. There was a long pregnant silence. “Oh, I see.” The other man’s voice became sickeningly sweet. “Why don’t you…”
“No!” Till barked causing Christoph to jump, not used to hearing the man raise his voice. “No, not yet. It is much too soon.” Till said, sounding like he regained some of his composure, but was still upset. “Fine, I will attend the function tonight, though I do not want to. It disgusts me greatly that they can’t perform something so simple without my presence. What do I keep them around for?” He growled.
“I know their weakness appalls you dear cousin, but as we both know we need them. How much longer do you think he will take?” The man now recognized as Till’s cousin Richard tried to sooth. “About a month from now and he will come on a most glorious day. I’m most eager for him to join us, we will finally be complete again.” Till said sounding as if he was smiling. “Yes, it will be the best holiday yet.” Richard agreed.  “Well cousin, I must be going. I’ve got to prepare for tonight.”
“Alright. Are you still bringing your guest?” Till asked. “Yes of course. See you tonight.” Richard said and Christoph heard the heavy front door close.  He then heard footsteps coming up the long stairway. Having a feeling he wasn’t supposed to hear that conversation, he scurried a bit back down the hall and slowly retraced his steps forward trying to make it seem like he’d just wandered into the hall way. When Till rounded the corner, he walked over to Christoph and wrapped his arm around his waist pulling him closer. “I’m glad to see you up, I was beginning to worry.” He said as he laid a kiss to the boy’s forehead. “Yeah, I’m fine. No need to worry, I just probably drank too much.” Christoph said feeling bashful, unused to the affection.
“Well I’m glad you’re fine. Did you want anything to eat?” Till asked, running his fingers through Christoph’s soft wavy hair. “No, I’m alright. So what’s the plan for today?” Christoph inquired. Sighing sadly Till said “I did have plans to spend the day with you, but something important came up that I have to attend to, though I really don’t want to.” Christoph shrugged. “It’s okay, I know you’re a busy man. Just promise me we can have another picnic and I’ll let you off the hook.” Smiling one of his captivating smiles, Till said  “How about I do something even better than that, would you be interested in taking a trip with me?”
Christoph nodded. “Where to?” “Syria.” Christoph’s face twisted in confusion. “Syria? Why Syria?” Till sighed a bit. “Well, it’s not exactly a pleasure trip. I’m visiting because a collection of mosaic artwork has been recently discovered and I’m interested in purchasing a few pieces. You seem to have a good eye for art, so I figured you’d be interested.” Christoph pondered this as they walked down the hallway. Deciding that he had nothing else to do and no job to go to anymore, he agreed to go. “Yeah, I’d love to go with you Till.” Flashing another of his dazzling smiles, Till simply said “Wonderful.”
Fifteen minutes later they were in Till’s sleek black Mercedes headed out of town. As they drew near Christoph’s former home, he spoke up. “Do you think you can stop at my old house for a minute?” Till nodded, not looking from the road. “Yes, of course.” Turning off of the road and pulling up to a gate that prevented them from continuing, Till put the car in park and let Christoph get out of the car; staying behind to give the boy privacy. Walking up to the old iron wrought gate, Christoph ran his hand over the family crest on the gate. Looking up the long driveway, Christoph caught a glimpse of his former home; various memories flashing in his mind.
Then reality really set in, his heart clenched a bit now truly realizing he was alone in this unyielding world. But was he really alone? After all he did have Paul, who was like a brother and father to him, and now he had a budding relationship with Till. Although the man was very enigmatic, and seemed to keep a lot to himself, Christoph just figured that was a part of the life he had to lead.  When you’re wealthy and powerful you have to be cautious about those you let near you, it was a main tenant of those who were affluent. Christoph, figured if his life had remained normal he’d probably be very much like Till, weary of who he’d share himself with. That thought brought him to an entirely different train of thought. Would he step up and claim what was his? Could he handle the responsibility? Could he handle the opulence and the kowtowing from people wanting stuff from him? It was something he wasn’t sure of yet and would probably take a lot of thinking (and aspirin) to figure out.
Deciding he had killed enough time, and didn’t want to hold Till up any longer he returned to the car. “Did you find the answers that you sought?” Till asked as he pulled back onto the main road. Christoph shook his head. “No, I wish it were that easy.” He said sadly. Till put his hand over Christoph’s. “Do not worry. Things will be revealed to you in time and will guide you to the right decision.” He said cryptically. “I hope so.” Came the morose response and then they fell into companionable silence.
As they made their way back, Christoph kept replaying the odd conversation he heard earlier, trying to decipher what they were discussing. ‘What holiday were they talking about? They said a month from now, so that would be May. There’s no true holiday in May, what the hell were they talking about?” He pondered. Getting stumped and finding no obvious answer, he decided to break the silence. “So what exactly do you have to do today? If you don’t mind me asking.” He saw Till stiffen up in his seat. “I don’t mind. I have to preside over something at the temple tonight.” He supplied. “You know, you still haven’t told me what it is you do there. And I remembered that you promised.” Christoph said, trying to pry the information out of Till. Jaw clenching, Till replied “It’s like a fraternity of other affluent men, we have gatherings to discuss various things. Sometimes we have ceremonies and that’s about it, it’s quite stiff and formal.” Absorbing the information Christoph nodded, comparing the information he received to the experience he’d had outside the temple that one night.  He was unsure of what to believe now. Should he believe what Till said or the crazy shit he’d experienced when trying to listen in on what they were doing in the temple? He really didn’t know anymore, too much bizarre stuff was happening for him to make sense of anything. His once simple world was being turned upside down.
When they arrived outside of Christoph’s residence they walked together up to his front door. “I’m sorry I cannot spend the day with you as planned.” Till said softly. Smiling at how soft-spoken the man could be at times, Christoph pulled Till into a hug surprising the other man. “It’s alright, like I said earlier I understand that you’re a busy man.” Till nodded at this. “’Also, I wanted to thank you for telling me about my… family situation.” Christoph also added looking at the ground. Till lifted Christoph’s face with a finger and placed a searing hot kiss upon his lips. Christoph instantly deepened the kiss earning a growled moan from Till. Wanting to stop before things got too heavy, Till pulled away sucking on Christoph’s bottom lip as he withdrew. “You’re welcome.” He said and then turned to leave, his face serious “Be careful Christoph.” And then he left.
Snapping out of his haze at Till’s words, Christoph frowned at the odd departure as he turned the lock to his door. Walking in to the living room he called out for Paul but got no response. Shrugging his shoulders he decided that he wanted to take a bath, as he walked over to the bathroom he suddenly felt a pang of fatigue. Gripping onto the door sill he scrunched his eyes shut trying to fend of the sudden onslaught of faintness he felt. Pushing the feeling down, he righted himself and went to turn the warm water on. Sitting on the toilet seat to wait for the tub to fill, he thought ‘What the hell was that?’
When the tub was filled to his satisfaction, he stripped and sunk in to the warm soothing water.  Closing his eyes, Christoph began to ponder his future once more. As he thought out his course of action, he unknowingly began to slip underneath the water until he was completely submerged.
{Flashback}
A ten year old Christoph stood at the top of the grand staircase with his father, fidgeting uncomfortably in his new suit. “Do you see all of these people here, Christoph?” His father asked. Looking down at the crowd of lavishly dressed people, Christoph replied “Yes, Father. What about them?” His father then put a hand on the boy’s head lovingly. “They exist for our benefit.” His father said simply. Christoph’s youthful face contorted in confusion. “What do you mean for our benefit, Father?” His father then gave a robust chuckle. “You have so much to learn, my boy. What I mean is that these people need us, but we do not need them.”  Christoph’s expression became even more perplexed, so his father explained further. “They need us because we provide them something that they need…”
Christoph’s face lit up in understanding. “Like money, right?” His father nodded a proud look upon his visage. “Yes, partially; that is a minor aspect of their need. What they truly want from us is power, something that has been in our family’s grasp for centuries.” Still slightly unsure of what his father was trying to allude to the boy asked “But if money is not important and power is then why even have money?” His father gave an unnerving smile. “We have money so the regular populace is too distracted to go looking for where the real power lies.” “And where is that, Father?” Christoph asked, truly interested in what his father had to say. “The true power lies in the unseen forces.” “The unseen forces…” Christoph repeated to himself. “But how…” The boy began, but his father put his hand on his shoulder to silence him as he saw the boy’s mother approaching with a sour look upon her face “How? Now that’s a lesson for another day.”
{End Flashback}
Christoph coughed the last bit of water on to the cold tile of the floor and stared blindly at the talking misshapen blob above him. “Christoph! Christoph! C’mon say something!” Came Paul’s frantic voice. The sound of his friend’s voice helped him to push away the fog, and he robotically pushed himself into a sitting position.  “I’m fine Paul. What are you yelling for?” He said, his brain a bit muddled and still pondering his vision. “What am I yelling for?!” Paul asked astonished. “When I came in here to take a piss I find you under the water, damn near blue! And you ask me what’s wrong?!”
Christoph snapped out of his reverie at that. “Under the water? But I just got in the tub.” Paul’s eyes looked like they were going to fall out of his head. “Are you kidding me?! When I pulled you out you weren’t breathing! It took me almost ten minutes to get you to breathe!” Paul shouted. Christoph still a bit listless, waved his hand dismissively. “Paul you worry too much. I probably fell asleep in the tub and slipped under the water. You probably came in not too long after. It’s really not that serious.” Paul shook his head at his friend’s words, still worried about his condition. “Do you want to go to the hospital?”
Christoph ,who was now staring off into space again, said “No, I’ll be fine.” And with that he pushed himself off of the tiled floor, unfazed by his nudity. Paul stood up and hurried after the strange acting boy, intent on making sure he was alright. “Do you need anything at all?” He asked as he followed Christoph into his room and watched the boy flop onto the bed apathetically. “No, I’ll be fine. I will call out for you if I need something, alright?” Christoph said as he stared at his ceiling. “Alright. Leave your door unlocked so I can check on you to make sure you’re okay.” The other man said. “Okay.” Came the quiet response. Paul then turned to leave, pausing for a second, wanting to ask about the scratches on the boy’s sides, but thinking better of it. After all he knew the boy liked to keep his secrets secret and if he wanted you to know he would tell on his own time. Sighing Paul went to go watch a bit of television, hopefully to get his mind off of the scare he’d just experienced.
Still staring at his ceiling, Christoph pondered the dream he’d had in the bath. Really he knew it was a flashback, a memory he pushed into the far recesses of his mind. But why would he remember that specific memory? Why not something warmer, more intimate? When he thought about it, he realized all of the memories he had of his father were of him trying to explain the world to him. Perhaps that was the man’s equivalent of playing catch with him, like a ‘normal’ father would. Deep within himself he knew he’d recalled that memory because of the recent information he found out.  Information he was still very unsure about.
Should he take his father’s place as head of his estate? ‘There’s no one else but me’ He thought.  And wasn’t he tired of being powerless? Leaving his fate up to where ever the wind decides to blow it. Could he really continue living the life the way it is, knowing there was something better out there for him? What of these 'unseen' forces, are they the cause of all the bizarre occurrences? Christoph couldn't even begin to fathom that aspect of the conundrum. He had so many unanswered questions blazing within the confines of his mind.
Christoph opened the drawer next to his bed and pulled out his mother’s rosary. Looking upon the intricate work of jewelry, he didn’t feel the comfort that he’d felt before. Now he felt the pangs of resentment and loathing. Narrowing his eyes at the offending piece of jewelry, Christoph remembered all of the terrible words that were said about his father; all of the fights they thought he didn’t hear. He even thought about the last day he spent with his mother, even on that day she poisoned him against his father only to die and leave him alone. Alone to fend for himself, always looking behind his back afraid of the ‘monster’ that was his father dragging him back into a cesspit of ‘damnation’. His mother made him weak and distrustful of the world, steering him away from his destiny and leaving him lost and confused about his place in the world.
He tossed the piece of metal back into the dresser and slammed the drawer shut. No longer would he remain feeble and unsure, he’d rise to the challenge and claim what was rightfully his. He’d reject this meager life in exchange for a better one. He didn’t have to be ruthless and power hungry like his mother had always accused his father of being. ‘No, he’d maintain his moral standing and only provide for those he cared about, it was as simple as that.’ He thought as he began to drift off into unconsciousness.
If only it were truly that simple...

Kann Denn Liebe Sünde Sein? (Chapter Three & Four)

Hey everyone! I've brought you the next two chapters for your reading pleasure. At this point I haven't checked to see the reactions (if any) to this story, but I hope someone out there likes it!  :P
Kann Denn Liebe Sünde Sein?

[Chapter Three: Them]
Richard woke up early the next morning, looking over to the other bed he saw that no one else was there yet. Confused, he stood from the bed and looked out the window and saw that the sun hadn’t even risen yet. No longer tired and he decided to explore the place and have a cigarette while at it. Grabbing his cigarettes and a jacket, Richard left the room and locked the door behind him. Walking out of the building and turning in the direction of where he saw trees, he kept a look out for other people. As he strolled along, Richard took in the landscape of the property, thinking to himself that this place was indeed quite beautiful. When he made it to the tree line dawn was just beginning to break, allowing him the ability to see more than he had before.
Walking into the woods intent on seeing how far the trees went back and if there was a fence or not. Once he felt he was deep enough in the wood, he took out a cigarette and lit the end. Stepping over the downed logs, he took a drag of his cigarette as he enjoyed the nature around him. ‘This is totally going to be where I come when I need a break from them.’ He thought to himself. After walking for a good five minutes he came to a brick wall of decent height. ‘It’s not too tall for me to scale, especially if I got a running start.’ He mused.
Deciding he spent enough time lingering there and not wanting anyone to come looking for him, Richard left the woods and headed back to his living quarters. By the time he made it back to the dorms the sun had fully risen into the sky, the birds heralding its arrival. Pulling the door open, he saw that there were now some students milling about socializing with one another. Not bothering to make an attempt to interact, Richard made his way back to his room. Sticking his key into the doorknob, he unlocked the door and pushed it open and saw his roommate’s belongings on the vacant bed.
Shutting the door behind him he walked over to his own bed and picked up the package there. Realizing it was uniform he tore the plastic open, taking out the black jacket, tie and pants and white dress shirt. He was thankful that the uniform wasn’t a horrible color scheme; he could live with this uniform. Hell, he could even make it look stylish. Figuring that he might as well get dressed for class now, he walked into the bathroom and locked the door. Shedding his bed clothes and boots, he slipped into the dress pants and buttoned up the shirt leaving the top three open. He then slid the tie over his head, but did not tighten it choosing to leave it hanging loose. He then slid his jacket on and bent down to pick his hoodie up and took his pack of cigarettes and lighter and stuffed them into jacket.
Walking back out of the room and noting his roommate still hadn’t returned, he grabbed his eyeliner and hair gel from his bag. Returning to the bathroom and kicking the door shut, he set about fixing himself up. Popping the top off of the eyeliner he ran the kohl tip along the rim of each eye. Then he dabbed his fingers into the hair gel and ran his fingers through his hair smoothing it down so that it hugged the contours of his face. Stepping back and looking in the mirror, he nodded his head pleased. ‘Damn, I make this uniform look sharp!’ He thought haughtily. He then stepped into his boots not bothering to tie up the laces.
Exiting the bathroom he saw a boy sitting on the other bed reading over a piece of paper. Richard stared at the boy while he waited for him to notice his presence. The boy looked to be the same age as he was, he was cute in that innocent puppy dog kind of way.  His uniform was worn conventionally, but upon his feet were a pair of eight-hole Doc Martin’s with red laces. ‘He must have some kind of style.’ Richard mused.
The boy looked up from his page and jumped a bit when he noticed Richard leaning on the door sill leering at him. “Oh, hey!  My name’s Christoph, you must be Richard.” The boy said cheerfully, his crystal blue eyes sparkling. Richard just continued to stare at the boy, sizing him up. When Richard didn’t immediately respond, Christoph began to fidget under Richard’s intense gaze. Richard then smiled a warm smile and replied. “Yeah, I’m Richard.”  As he walked over to the corner of his bed and sat down. Feeling relieved, Christoph said. “You had me scared for a minute, what was that all about?”
“I just wanted to make sure that you were cool.” Richard said bluntly. “Did I pass?” Christoph asked. “Yeah.” Came the response. “You seem pretty cool yourself. I’m glad that you’re not one of those conceited douche bags.” Christoph said. “Oh, you mean the people I saw out there being obnoxious at this time of morning?” Richard questioned, snickering a bit. “Yeah, those are the ones, I have a feeling we’re gonna get along just fine.” Christoph laughed.  Now laughing too, Richard agreed. “Yeah, me too.”
“You hungry?” Christoph asked. Richard nodded “A bit.” “Alright, then let’s go. Then I can tell you about the school.” Christoph said as he stood to leave. Standing and following behind Christoph, the two exited the room.  Vacating the building once more, Richard listened intently as Christoph talked about the school; nodding and answering when needed. They entered the main building and walked into a large dining room. Getting in line and grabbing plates, they helped themselves to whatever food they wanted. Richard settled on having some Belgian waffles and juice and Christoph took a bit of everything.
They picked a table that was away from everyone so they could hear themselves talk. “So what do you think so far?” Christoph asked between bites of food. Richard shrugged his shoulders. ”I’m not sure yet, I don’t think I’ve seen enough to form an opinion.” “Yeah, I understand. Oh, you know we have all the same classes right?” Christoph inquired. Finishing up his waffle, Richard nodded. “Yeah, what’s the first class?
Christoph reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. Unfolding it Christoph read “English and then Biology II.” Sighing and rubbing his head, Richard thought ‘Today’s gonna be a long one.’ Looking back at Christoph he asked “Hey, you wouldn’t have any extra pens or paper would you?” Taking a swig of his milk and sitting it on the table, Christoph replied “Yeah, you won’t be needing it today. On the first day all the teachers do is talk and all the classes are cut short.” “Awesome.” Richard said, feeling relieved that he wouldn’t be thrown head first back into school work. “Class starts in ten minutes. Let’s start heading toward the class before everyone else does.” Christoph said as he stood and pushed his chair in, Richard then stood and followed suit.
On the way to class they talked about the things they liked, their favorite bands and where they were from.  Entering the classroom the two headed for the seats in the back, the seats that were notorious for those who didn’t plan on paying much attention. Not too much longer a bell sounded and students filled the hall, scrambling to make it to their assigned classes. The two boys talked up until the teacher entered the room and began to speak. Upon seeing the crotchety old man, Richard knew that this class wasn’t going to be easy.  After listening for a while, Richard began to tune the old man out; instead turning slightly to converse quietly with Christoph.
About thirty minutes later the bell rang, signaling that it was time to move onto the next class. Standing, Richard followed Christoph to the next class. “Man, I can already tell the class is gonna kill me.” Richard complained as he stretched his back as he walked. Laughing Christoph replied “Yeah, I hear ya on that one. I could hear by brain cells dying, that’s how bored I was.” Then Christoph was hit rudely in the shoulder by some big beefy males as they walked past him and then came to stand in front of them blocking their way. “So who’s the pretty boy, Christoph? Is he your boyfriend?” The tall blonde said, his lackey’s laughing behind him. “Leave us alone, Lars. It’s too early for this shit.” Christoph sneered.
The blond stepped forward, trying to be intimidating. “What did you say to me you little shit?” Christoph opened his mouth to say something, but Richard beat him to the punch. “Ah, so that’s where that horrid smell was coming from. Hey, smelly instead of picking on those of us who practice normal hygiene. Why don’t you carry your ass back to your room and scrape that yellow cheese off your teeth?”
The blonde sputtered, not able to come up with a response and stalked down the hallway, his lackeys following silently behind him. “Wow. You really don’t joke around do you?” Christoph remarked, surprised at Richard’s ferocity.
“No, I don’t let people trample over me and you shouldn’t either. People like that are weak and insecure. See how he called me ‘pretty boy’ and asked if we were dating? He didn’t say that because he just wanted to get you.” Richard looked at Christoph emphatically. “He said that because he’s gay and wanted to fuck you and got jealous!” Richard said bluntly not bothering to lower his voice.
Christoph looked like he wanted to choke, and quickly snatched Richard up by the arm and pulled him down the hall. Whispering harshly, Christoph said “You’ve got to be kidding right? Tell me you don’t believe what you are saying.” Shaking his head, Richard spoke a bit quieter this time. “Listen Christoph there’s a lot you don’t know about me, I’m pretty sure that you’ve been pretty sheltered and well taken care of all your life right?” Christoph seemed to think for a bit before responding. “Yes, you’re correct. My life’s been boring, painfully so I might add.”
“Well, I’m just the opposite. Let’s just say I’m 'well-traveled' to save time, but I’ve encountered many guys like that one back there and they nine times out of ten they turn out to be gay. I swear on my most valuable possession.” Richard explained.
Looking around and whispering once more, Christoph asked. “Richard I won’t judge you, but are you…” “Yeah, you’re just figuring this out?” Richard shook his head. Christoph began to stutter “No! I had though-. Look I’m gay too.” Richard’s brows rose. ”Ah, well it’s good to know I’m not alone here.” Christoph sighed “That’s the problem, we are alone.  No one can know, we’re at a Catholic school after all and most people here are more than hostile to people like us. That’s why I meant to say something earlier about your uniform. I’m surprised no teacher has said anything yet, but I say push it for as long as you can get away with it.”
Richard didn’t have time to respond because they had made it to their class and he didn’t want to discuss such sensitive matters with so many ears near-by. Taking their seats at the back of the class once more, they waited for the lesson to start. Once the teacher got pretty far into the droning, the two boys began to whisper quietly to each other occasionally when nothing important was being said. They went through the next two classes much the same way.
Exiting the math class slightly in a glum mood because they could tell this teacher was going to swamp them with work they made their way to lunch. “Do you want to eat back in our room?” Christoph asked as they descended the stairs. “Yeah, that would be preferable to the lunchroom.”
Repeating the same process as they had with breakfast, they helped themselves to whatever food was sat out on the lengthy table. Carrying their trays back to their rooms, they sat on their respective beds.
“So what’s next? How many classes do we have left?” Richard asked and then drank some of his juice. Finishing chewing his food, Christoph replied. “Art and then Music Theory and then we’re done for the day.” “Awesome.” Richard said glad for two light classes at the end of the day. Finishing their food and returning the dishes back to the lunch room and headed toward their art class. Art went by with a breeze as expected, the teacher was refreshing from the last few; actually interacting with them instead of straight lecturing.
Walking out of the building over to the large church, Richard spoke. “I thought we were going to music theory?” “We are, it’s held in the Church.” Christoph explained. The two walked up the tree shaded path up to the old church, pulling a heavy wooden door open and walking in. Walking through the main area where Mass was held, they walked through the corridor going through another door. They passed a door that was cracked open and seemed to be a band or choir practice room of some sorts. Once at the end of the corridor they turned and walked into a room that was set up in traditional classroom way, the only difference being the extra-long chalkboard.  Seeing that there were no seats left in the back at all the two were forced to take a seat in the very front.
The two boys conversed about nothing in particular as they waited for class to start. “You said you’ve had this teacher before, how are they?” Christoph shrugged and rocked his hand from side-to-side. “He’s a good teacher, and a fair grader. He doesn’t give too much work, but he does demand that it’s on time. He’s soft spoken and yet sometimes very commanding. It’s like he’s passive-aggressive or something.” Christoph rambled, but whispered the last part. “You’d probably think he’s cute though.” He then began to laugh at Richard trying to swat him for the remark.  The two joked back and forth for a few minutes more until they heard someone clear their throat.
Looking at the front of the class room, Richard fought his instincts to howl and whistle like he’d seen that cartoon wolf do in an American cartoon once. ‘Cute?! Christoph thought this man was cute?!’ Richard thought. No, this man, no Adonis, was not cute. Cute was reserved for the boys on teeny bop magazines, this man hot, he was striking, he was… A PRIEST?! Richard felt like his eyes were going to fall out of his head. ‘All of that hunk of man wasted on Priesthood?’ He wondered incredulously. ‘It should be a crime against humanity!’ He thought with a nod.

Raking his hand through his shiny blue-black hair, the man waited for the class to settle down. “Now that I see that I’ve gotten your attention. My name is Father Lindemann. You may call me Herr Lindemann if it pleases you.” He said in his rich sounding voice. ‘Yeah it pleases me’ Richard thought dreamily, especially loving the way his teacher rolled his ‘r’s.
“I do not give a lot of work, but I do expect you to put forth effort in this class. I want you to take this class just as seriously as you would take math or science, because music is just another application of both of those studies. Now I will call your names to make sure you’re all present. Say ‘here’ when I call your names.” Father Lindemann began to call off the names from the list, with each respective student replying in kind.
Richard watched Father Lindemann’s every move, noticing how each bicep bulged , how broad his chest was and how strong his legs (and other appendages) looked underneath those fitted dress slacks.  Hearing that he was getting closer to calling his name Richard tried to focus. “Richard Kruspe.” Father Lindemann called. “Here.” Richard barely managed to get that out, almost melting at the way his name sounded on the man’s lips.
Class went by all too fast for Richard’s liking, he found the he was going to enjoy the class.  Not just for the delicious eye candy, but because the class was about music. Something he was passionate about and it seemed like Father Lindemann was too and when a teacher was actually interested in their subject it always made the experience more tolerable. Standing once the bell sounded, they walked passed Father Lindemann who was erasing the chalk from the board. Richard couldn’t help stare at his nice full ass, reveling in the way his dress pants hugged his ass. Richard wanted to sigh. A sharp jab to the ribs brought him out of his reverie. “What?” Richard said confused to as why Christoph had such an impish grin upon his face. “Nothing, I’ll tell you when we get back to the room.”
The two walked in companionable silence back to their room, enjoying the early Autumn weather. Once back in the safety of their room, Richard was the first to speak. “Ok, spill it! What’s so damn funny?” Bursting into laugher, Christoph replied “You’ve got the hots for our teacher and what makes it even funnier is that he’s a priest on top of it!”  Flopping onto his bed Richard retorted “Yeah, so what if I think he’s hot! It’s not like it’s a lie, even you said he was cute.” Christoph  smirked and shrugged. “Yeah he is, but I know he’s not worth drooling over. You’re barking up the wrong tree, though I did notice something odd…” Christoph trailed off. “What did you notice?” Richard asked looking at Christoph intently. “I did notice that his eyes did linger on you a bit more than normal especially when we left, but he could’ve just been scrutinizing the way you were dressed. I’m not too sure.”
Richard sighed dreamily hugging his pillow, thinking back on the good-looking teacher. “Maybe he was staring at me, that’d be so awesome.” Rolling his eyes and laughing Christoph said “Ew, don’t start fantasizing with me in the room. If you want privacy just let me know.”
Chucking his pillow at Christoph, Richard laughed along with him. “Oh shut up, you know you’d stay and watch!” Christoph threw Richard’s pillow back at him. “It’s almost dinner, are you hungry?” Shaking his head, Richard said “No, I’m still full from earlier.” Christoph raised a brow and asked “Are you sure?” “Yeah, just go without me. I’ll be here when you get back.” He replied.
Standing and walking to the door Christoph said “I’ll be back soon, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” And with that he left. Feeling exhausted from having such a long day Richard changed into his bed clothes and decided to go to sleep.

[Chapter Four: Theory]
Two weeks had gone by and Richard hadn’t attempted to escape yet. The only two things that have kept him here so far were Christoph and his Music Theory teacher. Not only was he great to look at, but he was a wonderful teacher. Richard was doing great in that class, actually putting forth an effort and interacting with the teacher.
Now he sat in class chatting with Christoph as usual, waiting for class to begin. Father Lindemann walked in the room and waited for everyone to fall silent. Ending their conversation and directing their attention to the waiting teacher, Richard saw Father Lindemann nod his greeting to him and he returned it with a nod of his own. Strangely since the discussion they had in class about musical texture and Richard gave an exceptional explanation on what that meant, Father Lindemann had been paying extra attention to him ever since.
Now that everyone had finally noticed their teacher’s presence the talking came to a halt and then the lesson began. “Today we are covering Consonance and Dissonance…” Father Lindeman began.
Richard began to focus intently, this being another topic he knew much about. Richard was always the first to raise his hand to answer a question or make a comment, earning snickers of ‘teacher’s pet’ from some students behind him. Richard didn’t give a fuck about them though, only caring about pleasing Father Lindemann and getting good marks. Through one thing that was more rewarding than good grades, were the rare times Father Lindemann would smile. Richard almost burst the first time he saw the teacher give one of his dashing smiles. To Richard’s credit, he was the only one in class to provoke such reactions from the normally stoic man; usually causing them with a passionate outburst or when he would debate him on a topic.
As always this class ended all too soon, Richard could literally spend hours just listening to the man talk. “I have the graded papers from your quiz, come get them from me as you exit the room.” Father Lindeman said as he took at seat behind his desk. Waiting for most of the students to get their paper and leave, Richard and Christoph walked up to the desk. “Here’s your paper, Christoph and yours Richard. Christoph? May I speak to Richard alone?” Nodding his head as he began to walk away Christoph said “I’ll wait for you outside Richard.”
Looking back at the handsome teacher, Richard asked “I’m not in trouble am I?” The teacher’s nice lips turned upward in a slight smile. “No, far from it. I just wanted to tell you that you’re doing wonderful in my class and ask you something.” Richard nodded and waited for the teacher to continue. “I want to ask you what your experience with music is. You seem quite knowledgeable about the subject.”
“Well…” Richard began “I play guitar and I used to play piano, I was classically trained by my mother.” His face fell as he said this. “But, I’ve been involved in music ever since I could walk. It’s like second nature to me.” Father Lindemann smiled a warm smile and said “That’s great to hear, it’s quite hard to find people you’re age who are passionate about something.” Richard could’ve sworn he saw a spark in the man’s vivid blue-green eyes. “The reason I asked such a question is because at this school we offer some of our musically inclined students the opportunity to use the instruments in the choir room. I’m the one that monitors who can get to access to them and I’ve decided to extend the opportunity to you. Sadly we don’t have an electric guitar for you to play…”
“How’d you know I played electric?” Richard interrupted. Father Lindemann laughed a low hearty laugh that seemed to fill the room, turning Richard’s insides to mush. “I’m not that old, Richard. I can tell by the way you wear your uniform that you’d play electric guitar, you don’t seem like one of those sensitive types that cling to using only acoustics.” He explained.
Richard grinned at his pretty spot on analysis of him. “But like I was saying there is no electric guitar, but there is an acoustic. You’re welcome to come here anytime and play it and sometimes I’ll even let you sneak it out so you can play in your room if you like. You’ve just got to keep that between us, ok?” Father Lindemann winked at Richard.
Richard felt like melting when he winked at him. “Definitely! I won’t tell a soul!” He exclaimed excitedly. ”Well then go on, I won’t hold you up any longer. See you tomorrow.” Father Lindemann said. “See you tomorrow Father Lindemann. Thanks again.” Richard said.
As Richard exited the room feeling light as a feather, he missed the longing look Father Lindemann cast at his retreating form. Walking out of the church, Richard found Christoph waiting for him on a near-by bench. Standing as Richard walked over, he asked hurriedly “So what did he want?” Richard with a grin still plastered to his face replied “He just wanted to tell me that I’m allowed to go use that instruments that they have if I please.”
As they walked back to their living quarters, Christoph pressed Richard for more answers. “Yeah, with the way your smiling it seems like he offered you more than just a chance to play some music.” He said suggestively. Catching on to what Christoph was implying Richard gave him a playful shove. “No, Christoph. It’s nothing like that, though…” Richard began to think to himself.
Interested in what transpired, Christoph said “Though what? What happened?” Richard shook his head as if clearing his head. “It’s nothing. It just seemed like…” He trailed off again. This time Christoph stood in Richard’s path blocking him. “Tell me!” He said looking like an indignant child. Shaking his head once more, Richard pulled Christoph by the arm and whispered loudly “Alright! Alright! When I was in there talking to Father Lindemann it seemed as if he were flirting with me.” Upon seeing the glassy look in Christoph’s eyes, he knew he had to add more to his statement. “BUT, I could be reading into it too much and he could just be very nice. Though he did wink at me…I don’t know.”
Eyes big as saucers now, Christoph exclaimed “He winked at you! He was totally flirting.” Looking around to see if anyone heard, Richard shushed Christoph. “Shh! Don’t say that out loud and like I said he could just be nice.” Rolling his eyes as they walked up the stairs to their room Christoph said “I’ve had him as a teacher before and never did he smile as much as he does now and never did he wink at anyone. If anything he’s been kind of cold and indifferent.” Walking through the door to the room and sitting upon their respective beds, Richard replied. “People do change. Maybe he’s happier now than when you had him last.”
“I don’t know, Richard. I’ve seen him around campus occasionally and he looks much the same way he did the last time I had class with him. But when in class he seems almost like a different person.” Christoph explained. Richard shrugged “Maybe we’re reading too much into the situation. Perhaps he’s really passionate about music like I am and that’s why he seems happier in class.”
“Hey, I’ve got to go to the front office to make a phone call home. Are you gonna go to dinner tonight?” Christoph asked. “Nah, I’m gonna skip dinner again.” Richard replied. “You mean you’re gonna go smoke in the woods?” Christoph said. “You’ve got it.” Richard said looking at his chipped nail polish. “Alright, well I’ll be back after dinner then. You should let me come with you on your next excursion. Be back later.” He said walking to the door.
“Yeah, you can come the next time. See ya in a bit.” Richard replied. Waiting a few minutes for the stragglers to make it to the dining hall, Richard stood up and left the room.  Hurrying into the woods, the last rays of light illuminating the way Richard made his way to his normal spot along the wall. Opining to himself about how hard it was to curb his smoking habit to make his cigarettes last these two weeks. Taking one out he tried to light it, but his lighter seemed to be out of fluid so he shook it trying to get one last spark out of it. “Need a light?” A deep voice sounded from behind him. Jumping and turning to face the person who startled him. There stood Father Lindemann leaning on the wall taking a drag from a cigarette of his own.
“F-Father Lindemann…” Richard began, but was stopped. “There’s nothing to worry about Richard. I won’t say anything, after all we’re both doing something that’s forbidden on school grounds. Now here take this lighter.” He said in his smooth rich voice. Taking the lighter from his hands, Richard lit his cigarette and mumbled a bashful “Thanks.” “Anytime.” Came the reply. Looking at Father Lindemann , Richard realized how sexy this man was as he smoked; the fact that he was wearing a priest’s collar somehow making him look all the more enticing. Finally finding his ability to speak, Richard said “I didn’t peg you for a person who smokes.” A rumbling laugh was his response, causing a warmth to bloom in Richard’s loins. Smiling sensuously, Father Lindeman said “We all have our vices, don’t we?”  Taking a drag of his cigarette, Richard nodded. “Yeah, can’t disagree with that.” Father Lindemann walked closer, closing the gap between them. “The key is to find the balance between indulgence and restraint.”
Now he stood less than a foot away from Richard, so close that Richard could feel his body heat and smell his intoxicating scent. The two stared at each other neither saying anything, but the message that was being communicated was one and the same. Longing. Craving. Yearning.
Richard licked his lips since they were suddenly extremely dry, taking in how Father Lindemann’s intense gaze seemed to follow the trail of his tongue keenly. “Father?” Richard questioned. The man’s eyes travel back up to Richard’s face still with that hungry look upon his face. Taking a final puff of his cigarette and then discarding it, Father Lindemann leaned in closer. His lips almost brushing Richard’s, his eyes glued to Richard’s watching them begin to slide close.
Pulling back with a smirk plastered on his face, Father Lindemann waited for realization to hit Richard. When Richard opened his eyes after breaking out of his haze, Father Lindemann caressed the side of Richard’s face and turned and walked away murmuring something that sounded like ‘too cute’.  Realizing he still had the man’s lighter, Richard called out “Wait! I have your lighter.”
Stopping and turning his profile to Richard, he simply said “Keep it.” And continued on, seemingly disappearing into the darkness. Richard just stood in place for a while longer, still dazed and confused to what had just occurred.
‘Father Lindemann was just now flirting with me’ Richard thought in disbelief. ‘And he’s a huge tease!’ A shiver of excitement ran down Richard’s spine. Realizing that’d he’d been gone longer than he should have; he pocketed the lighter and left the area. The entire walk back he appeared to be in a trance, replaying the event over and over again in his head. Walking mechanically up the stairs, to his shared room he stuck his key and but didn’t have a chance to turn the knob before the door swung open.
“Where have you been? I almost considered looking for you until I realized I had no clue where you went.” Christoph scolded as Richard sat robotically on his bed. “What’s wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Christoph said worriedly.
“Nothing’s wrong.” Richard responded distantly, his hand now in his pocket caressing the cool metal of the lighter making sure that it was real. “Then why do you seem so…distant.” Christoph said sitting across from Richard. “I’m just thinking.” Richard said shortly. “About what? Whatever it is you can tell me Richard, we’ve already shared a lot of personal information.”
Heaving a sigh Richard stared at Christoph for a bit, trying to determine if he should share what happened with his newfound friend. Feeling the other boy was trustworthy, Richard began softly. “When I was in the woods…” Christoph leaned in further. “ I was trying to light my cigarette, but my lighter was dead and you’ll never believe who just showed up out of nowhere.” Leaning in even further Christoph said “Who?’ even though he had an inkling of an idea. “Father Lindemann.” Richard answered. “No…” Christoph said disbelievingly. “Yeah and he was smoking too. And you wouldn’t believe what he said. He offered to light my cigarette.” Christoph made a sound of excitement. “I’m sure you were happy about that, what else happened?”
“That’s it, we just talked for a bit and then left.” Richard fibbed. Christoph raised an eyebrow. “You really expect me to believe that? You wouldn’t come back looking the way you did if that’s all that happened.” Rolling his eyes, Richard cursed the boy’s inquisitiveness. “Alright. He also tried to…kiss me.” Christoph gasped. “Are you serious?! You said tried. What happened?” Shaking his head now, Richard replied “He tried to kiss me, but he was teasing me. You know trying to rile me up.”
Christoph had a sly look plastered upon his face. “Did you like it?” Richard couldn’t lie, he more than liked it, he fucking loved it. He wanted it to happen again, even now he could still feel the ghost of his breath upon his lips. “Yeah, of course I liked it.” He said.
“Ah, an illicit love affair those are usually the best kind.” Christoph mused. “But Richard, please be careful. Both of you could get into really deep shit if you get found out.” Richard nodded in understanding. “I really don’t think anything is gonna come of this. It was probably a fluke or something.”  Christoph stood to go to the bathroom. “Just be careful. I like having you around.”
While Christoph was in the shower Richard changed into his bed clothes intent on getting some rest and banishing the earlier incident from his mind for the time being. When Christoph finally emerged from the shower, he saw Richard passed out on the bed and decided to retire for the night too.
Author's Comment: Yay! Two more chapters down. See? I said I would start to steam up pretty quickly! The next two chapters are much the same, drawing out the sexual tension between the two. Well, I'm off to go type of the next two chapters and then finish up the next chapter of Change of Skin. Tschüss!
